Thank you for your email addressed to Sir Terry Leahy, our Chief Executive, to which I have been asked to reply.

I am very sorry that you were unable to redeem some internet coupons in our Bradley Stoke Extra store recently, and for any upset caused by the poor service you received.

Our coupon policy is clear, in that customers can redeem paper and internet coupons as long they are in date, and the customer has purchased the relevant product. We also accept conditional spend coupons from other retailers, providing that the minimum spend requirements have been met.

There should be no signs on display, such as the one you have described, so I brought your email to the attention of Dean Taylor, our Store Manager, and Kevin Kiernan, our Customer Service Manager in store. Kevin will be ensuring that any signage on display in future only reflects the terms and conditions I have stated above.

I am very sorry that the cashier you dealt with was so rude, and Dean will be addressing this with his team. I would expect any of our staff members to be able to explain our policies in a polite and informative manner, so it is very disappointing that this does not appear to have been the case.

Should you have any concerns about the service you receive in store, please do not hesitate to bring them to the attention of a manager. It is essential that we are able to identify the staff members concerned, in order for the appropriate training to be carried out, and this will help us to avoid any subsequent complaints of this nature in future.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I hope that the above information is helpful.

    Kind Regards

    Paul Milligan
    Customer Service Executive

Do you want to laugh in her face or shall i?!"
