    Mortgage-free Glee!
Just spoke to OH and she'd been shopping - told me not to buy any more McCain Home Fries as she had a right job getting meat in the fridge - whoops!. I told her we'd not 'bought' them but they paid us to have them :rotfl:. I will have to hang on until nearly when my last 2 coupons run out then and sneak them in somewhere ......:D
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

To me that actually reads that they realise they may have made a mistake in refusing spend and save mocs and are rethinking the decision to refuse them.

A lot of folk have mentioned stores being quieter, especially since Farmfoods were stopped in stores that previously took them, then they stopped Lidl mocs.. perhaps they have noticed they are losing business?
S/A told me that the manager was not pleased at losing a lot of customers due to not taking F/F and also Asda new price policy and went in again over the week-end - not for me with a friend - and I couldn't belive how empty the store was for Sunday morning as usually you can't move, I hate going in on Sunday but was curious as to how busy it would be- and another S/a said manager is 'tearing his hair out' at the stores losses since so many customer have 'abandoned' his store - his words, bless:) seems we are now being appreciated after all:D
puts me in mind of the old saying that you don't know what you've lost 'til it's gone:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:the staff might just smile the next time we offer coupons instead of treating us like cheats or scroungers

    Same here. :D

I have Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons nearby, so use them all each week, sometimes make a trip to Asda and occasionally pick up bits in the Co-op.

The only loyalty I have now, is to my budget. :rotfl:

    Oh, and morning all. :)
I look on mysupermarket for the offers that suit me but mainly shop at Asda/Sainsburys as whenever I go to my local Morrisons for their offers they have none left and they are a bit further to go plus I do shop at Farmfoods more regualarly to use their spend and save and a few staff from Tesco have told me that they do the same now too asa lot of things are cheaper at F/F than Tesco:eek: - we are having an Aldi soon:D I very rarely go to T but do go when they have offers but only buy them rather than do my whole shop there - I would say they have lost £70 a week from me and £50 for son as i do his shop too, it must add up if a particular store has a lot of competition nearby as I was once told the staff get some sort of bonus based on the stores takings - don't know if that's true but that may be why the manager isn't very happy if he sees his bonus going down or disappearing to virtually nothing

I was at Tesco on Sunday and the woman at the till refused my 'internet' coupons. She had to call the supervisor over for help with something else, and I asked him about the coupons and he said the same thing.

They were just coupons from beforeishop that had my name on them. They were in full colour too, so they weren't even black and white which I print in sometimes to save money.

I had to go to customer services and she gave me the cash for the coupons. No big deal in the end, but kind of embarrassing for me as the people in the queue behind me were getting annoyed, plus I had to queue at customer services.

Anyone else had this problem recently?

My t's was empty this morning too, I went abit later n its usually busy, but not many people in at all, in fact all the regular staff I know were not in.

Only got abit will do my main shoppin in Asda on thursday...... however i bought 72 items last week, tried do the guarentee n not even 8 matched up so I coulnt do that too.

We have a big t's warehouse near us, one the main ones, lot Polish work there and english too. Ne how they got rid all the drivers to replace them with Stobarts, they shafted them over payouts and treated them bad. Now this massive warehouse is closing down n they farming work out elsewhere, apparently other places cant cope n they in a right mess. The workers at this place are sitting around doing nothing all day, or being farmed out to stores, alot polish taken the redundancy n bogged off home as there not enough places to employ in the current economic climate.......

For those of us who received the Castello "dodgy blue cheese I wouldn't touch that" calendar this year (don't mention last year M4rtin ). You may have realised that the May bank holiday falls on the 24th :rotfl:
