Is there a knack for winning the koalas? i've been trying for 2 weeks and won none :(

Yes, its call "Gill & BW associates" rspca sanctuary:D. Tesco is sellling fresh pineapple for 50p each. Its a bargain & I am going to cook pineapple rice next week - when the pineapple is ripe (when the smell of pineapple is strong - it means its ripe).

    recipe of pineapple rice :http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=active&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-GB%3Aofficial&channel=s&q=fried+pineapple+rice+recipe&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=

There are so many recipes for pineapple rice so, its up to individual really.

I fine this one the easier's to cook :- A meal in itself, stir-fried rice with pineapple, baby shrimp, chicken breast, ham, and vegetables is quickly stir-fried and served in a a pineapple shell.
    Ingredients:
    • 1 fresh pineapple
    • 2 teaspoons oil
    • 2 cups cooked rice, cold (or any left overs cook rice)
    • 1/4 cup baby shrimp, 1 cooked chicken breast half, cut into bite-size pieces
    • 1/4 cup diced cooked ham.
    • 2 green onions, sliced, including green tops
    • 1/4 cup peas (or mixed frozen vegs : peas/sweetcorn/carrots/green beans)
    • 1 dash rice wine or dry sherry or any wine ( this does not have to be rice wine) that you can spare. I something put whisky instead of wine.
    • Seasoning : salt & pepper ( & soy sauce optional only if you have in your cupboard) to taste.
    Preparation:

Slice pineapple in half. Hollow out each half by removing the pineapple meat. Reserve 1/4 cup of chopped pineapple and reserve the rest of the meat (discarding the tough and bitter core) for other uses.

Heat wok. Meanwhile, grill cut sides of pineapple halves over grates on a gas stove, on the grill, or under the broiler until heated through.

Add oil to hot wok and spread it around. Then add rice and stir-fry about 2 minutes. Add shrimp, chicken, and ham, stir-frying another two minutes. Add peas, green onions, and chopped pineapple. Stir-fry another two minutes until all ingredients are mixed and hot. Add rice wine & seasoning and mix.

Serve rice in heated pineapple halves.

    Yield: 2 servings

Had 1 today. Door bell rang, and looked out the window to see a grumpy sod, huffing and puffing storming towards the van then coming back in a frenzy coz he expected us to be stood at the front door all day waiting for him, and open it within 2 seconds. Could not believe how impatient some of these ple are including one of the local postmen. Y do they bother to take this job on if they have no patience. feel sorry for the older folk ...
Bless hubby he was running down with the front door keys as fast as he cud.......

On a positive note, this was a pleasant surprise, and the bread tasted gud too...

I think it may have more to do with the unrealistic rounds they are given and the pressure they're under to them in the time allowed!

Well I just won another koala using the tip above on only the 3rd attempt. Also finally won some free biscuits on the McVities comp. :)

Went to T's last night and got a pretty good result combining mocs.
I combined a £6 wys £30 and £3.50 wys £20 household with mocs from the credit crunch experience.

    Bought
    3 x cushelle @ £3.50 each
    3 x Bold @ £4.43 each - on offer @ 3 for £10
    2 fairy washing up at £1.40 each - on offer @ 2 for £2
    1 lenor on offer @ £2
    1 flash wipes on offer @ £1
    1 kitchen roll @ £1.25

    Total before offers is £30.84
    Total after offers is £26.75

    Used
    Till spit £6
    Till spit £3.50
    mocs total £2.50

Paid £14.75, which I was pretty happy with.

Just wish I'd had some cushelle mocs to use as well for an even better bargain.

Also used the £2 wyb Jacob Creek 2 vines till spit, as its now on offer @ £5 and the 30p moc for Alpen bars from the Nisa mag. Bars are on offer @£1.

If you've just ordered 7 of the £1 boxes, then I doubt you'll get them Gill. I haven't bothered with this promo as I didn't think it was worthwhile.

    This is from the T&C's

The products featured are only available on the day stated and are strictly limited to one product and one order per customer. Thorntons reserves the right not to fulfil orders where more than one of the £1 product is present in the order. An order is one delivery to one mainland UK address. Offer is applicable to one order only

thornton chocs just arrived all 7 boxes of them, yay, that was a good offer wish i'd seen it sooner, lol. :)
