Can anyone help with a van problem?
I'm hoping someone can offer some advice or info... I'm a bit stressed!
My OH bought a Vauxhall Combo (03) diesel van last year, and it's proving nothing but hassle. We were coming home tonight, and it started to stall in 3rd. A couple of times we just about coasted to a stop. Thought we had it sussed, then it started to do it in 2nd as well. At this stage 4th was still OK. Then it decided it was going to stall when at traffic lights - it didn't seem to want to idle. But we could start it up again, and gingerly managed to get it home, with a few more brief stalling incidents.
However it was parked for 20mins and we went to try and start it again and now it won't start at all. Turns over, but not a glimmer of firing up. I'm really quite concerned it's going to prove expensive - we don't have a lot of cash right now and it's rather worrying. Not long after we got it it developed an issue and we had to have the fuel pump replaced which was not cheap! I'm really hoping this is a smaller issue...
I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts, advice, or even recommendations of good garages in Glasgow (last one tried to rip us off...). Thanks!
