Ebay / Paypal Refund

I hope someone can advise me as I dont know what else to do

I won an item on ebay last Thursday and paid immediately using paypal.

Whilst I was paying the website crashed and asked me to submit my payment again (which I did).

When I checked my bank on Wednesday evening I noticed the transaction had gone throught twice.

I contacted the seller immediately to tell him what had happened and reqested a refund of the duplicate transaction - I was supprised he hadn;t noticed to be honest.

I also opened a claim on the paypal website to which they advised me to contact he seller direct etc and then closed then dispute offering no more help.

The seller has not contacted me at all, and all of his items for sale have now been removed.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do:eek:

No phone paypal as they are the ones dealing directly with the transaction. Make sure you have copies of the transaction numbers.

Have you contacted the seller? What did they say? Also whay kind of dipute did you open? You can't open an item not received for 7 days. Why did paypal close the dipute? There should be a reason?

I opened the unauthorised use of account dispute, as it was either that or one about not recieving an item
Paypal said the account hadn't been used unauthorised, and that i should contact the seller direct, wich I have done twice but he has not responded at all

Well I have had cause to phone them both this week and they are PHENOMINALLY useless! The ops talk and talk without telling you anything so in the end I emailed but not expecting much by way of explanation.
I have pretty much given up - hope you have better luck alana.
