I always think about the suffragettes, and how hard they worked to get me my vote..... so I always do....
Yep, I've been lecturing disaffected females today on Ms Pankhurst and the King's Horse, but to no avail.
Worse though was someone who doesn't normally vote, but is this year is because her OH has "told me I am" and has told her who she has to vote for
So really, some of us haven't come that far at all0 -
Been and voted with DH. DS & DD had postal votes and they have too.
Heard from estate agents today and they have got someone looking at mums place on Saturday - so we wait and see !
Have a good evening - i won;t be staying up but apparently DS and co at Uni will be as they have all handed dissertations and last essays in today so intend to get "smashed" and watch the tele!!!!0 -
My hummous recipe a bit ad hoc, but is something like this:
400g tin of chickpeas
Olive Oil
Lemon Juice
Light Tahini (normally found in health food shops)
Crushed Garlic
Paprika
I whizz the chickpeas in a blender with garlic and tahini. Then gradually add the olive oil until it gets to the correct consistency. Then add the lemon juice, (black pepper optional) and paprika to taste.
There is probably a more accurate one, but this works for me!0 -

Hmm, well had finally decided who to vote for, went to do it and found out thy're not standing in my area
So ended up voting for second best choice but now wishing I had left it and not voted for any; I totally agree we should all vote, out of respect for those who won us the right to do so, but it feels a bit hypocritical when I don't believe in any of the parties either

Okay well just a quick one...When women (glam) come in with their men (in cords and fleeces) to my shop and ask their opinion on the clothes they're buying and they criticise the stuff I always whisper to my staff 'Emeline (sp) Pankhurst will be rolling in her grave!!!!!'The road to a friends house is never long'0
