Sleeping seems to be settling down this week, I am pleased to say. I hope that it brings me sufficiently into balance to benefit once I get back to work too. I guess that doing the sorting and decorating also helps as I don't feel so muddled and chaotic, so def something that needs to be continued.

Off to London today after DS has done his paper rounds. The weather should be ok, but showers are forecast. Could be worse though, so we will be happy with that.

Off to scratch, bank and have plenty of coffee. I hope you all have a good day x

Yes, I'm sure you feel more settled as you are straightening out various areas - it's all good!

Have a fab time in London, you really deserve it. Whatever the weather it'll be great!
What's the plan for today, Science Museum?

Change of plan - an MSE'er who works at the science museum pm'd me to say there is work going on there, so there is not so much to see/do, plus the reduced space means it is even more busy in the school hols.....

So we will do that another time. Instead we are going to use our annual theme park pass things and go to Madame Tussauds and/or London Dungeon - both of which are places we have never been to. So it will be good to go somewhere new......and for free of course!

Then this evening we are meeting a friend who works in London and will grab something to eat and have a bit of a catch up before getting the bus back home.

A long day, but one we are looking forward to.

That sounds like a really good day! We took the kids last May BH and stayed in Greenwich, so we mainly took the overground trains. Mr Mac is a London boy so gets all nostalgic, proudly showing us around (ignoring that fact that I lived there myself for years).

We went along the Southbank and there were loads of street performers, the kids were in their element watching a lady spin 10 hula hoops at once! "Can you do that Mum?" Er.....no :rotfl:

Another time I went with work and we got very cheap tickets for The Globe theatre to watch A Midsummer Night's Dream. It was excellent and for £5 I thoroughly recommend - maybe next time :)

We won't arrive until lunchtime, so have the afternoon and evening, which will be enough to have given the children "a day out" but I do envisage us being rushed at the end of it all and not having been to half the places we intended. But, with coach prices being reasonably cheap, I think we may do a few of these days out this year.

10ps on the scratches......and in banking, £80 quidco money and £6.16 matched betting profit is in, so they have been transferred into the appropriate pots, quite happily :D

Quite often our "days out" are really just a few hours. I know my children are much younger than yours, but still a full day can be tiring and too much of a good thing.

Hope you enjoy your day. I'm off to finally do my ironing :o

My ironing will not be going anywhere today......although I have to admit, that having folded everything that I could get away with, there are only 4 items that need ironing, so hardly worth getting the board out for. Not so much an ironing mountain, but a small hillock.......I can live with that!
