Just installed Pioneer 111D - what's best software?

Hello,

I purchased an OEM Pioneer 111D. I've got Roxio 8 but can't get it to burn anything. Is there any other software that the Pioneer likes? Thanks

I've found Nero always works with Pioneer.

Have you installed it on a seperate IDE cable from the primary hard drive?

My unit wouldnt burn when installed on the hard drive IDE cable & I finally got it working by connecting to the 2nd IDE cable & setting it as a "slave" drive.

Me too! Got my Nero suite 3 for under £4 with power DVD aswell!

What happens when you try to burn with Roxio? Do you get an error message, or does it just fail, are you burning cd's or dvd's.
I remember reading that the original Roxio 8, didn't recognise some dvd/cd writers. So I would upgrade your Pioneer drive, and then upgrade your Roxio and see if this solves the problem.
There is also a patch that has worked for some people, if the upgrade doesn't work.

Do you have a link to the site where you got it for £4. I've been looking on the internet and Nero 7 is £60. That's way out of my budget. Thanks

That must be the retail version, go for the OEM its much cheaper and just the same :-) i got it here
