Where should I send the first letter

Hi
I am gonna try & claim for a loan from HSBC
Should I send it to the local branch of HSBC or their Head Office
Not sure where to start

    Hello there

    I take it you mean the PPI from the loan?;)

    I would write to the head office and get proof for posting from your post office, they have 8 weeks in full to respond.

    If it was HSBC who set up the account you write to them, or if it was arranged by a broker you write to them.

    More help, with useful info of the guidelines of reclaiming on link below, template letters, if you can try to write in your own words with the reasons you have for being mis sold, also check on the checklist of mis selling reasons, if any of them apply to you then write them in your letter, do not worry about writing down the amounts though they should send you a full detailed breakdown if successful or you can request they post them to you.

    I have found out the original agreement so will send a copy along with the letter

    Hi there i wrote to head office to the halifax recorded del of letter 6 weeks ago i stated that when i took out the loan that i was advised that ppi is advised to protect me i later found out that i didnt need it today i got a reply that are putting 1390.00 in to my bank in the next 28 days so put up a good fight be firm but polite and u carnt go wrong
