Painting Heated towel Rail

Hi Can anyone tell me if its possible to paint a heated towel rail and if so whats the best paint to use? We are having our bathroom done next week and cannot afford to replace the existing rail at the moment and even if we could the size doesnt seem to be availiable, I just thought it would look better to give it a coat of paint for now till I have saved up again. Thanks in advance

You could paint it with radiator paint, but its likely to look rather tatty unless you spray it on. If its a chrome rail its not going to cover well - if at all!For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

its white and we would really like a silver/crome one - but I cannot track one down in the size I need which is 750mm wide x 1200mm high - the height is not so important though it cannot be taller - hence me looking to paint our existing one. Have looked at Screwfix no joyi'm living in a parallel universe0

Well if its white undercoat it then gloss it and it should be good for 6 month to a year.
make sure you rub it with sand paper tho so you get a good key (that means so the paint will grip). If you want to get with me there's some things you got to know,.
