BarclayCard 2.9% no longer available??

Hi All,
Don't know if this has been posted, But just wondering, is it offical that 2.9% APR for life of transfer is no longer available?
My bf tried to BT but was told it 5.9APR up to the 5k and then 6.9 onwards.
I called to do a BT aswell and was also told it was no longer available. Has anyone has the same experiences?

thats a shame if it is true, I was wanting to transfer back to b/card in a couple of weeks
