Netto

I shop at the Stamford Hill Branch in North London where the service is appalling.
They have ten checkouts but it is rare to have more than half of them open. And when they are open, there is no attempt made to manage the queues, so you have the wonderful situation where you might have a few items and end up being stuck behind people with one or two completely full trolleys.
Buying anything frozen there is a complete no-no because it woudl be thawed out before you got served let alone home!
Oh, and the staff chew gum at the checkouts. Now if anything ever gives the impression that someone just don't care about you it is a shop assistant who chews gum.
Am I alone here, or do other Netto stores operate in such a manner?
Do please let me know!

We dont have a Netto, but whenever we've shopped in Tesco in the past had similar problems with queues.
What's more annoying is it was at the time of their "If there's ever more than one person in front of you we'll endeavour to open another till" but they never bothered to "endeavour" to do anything!0 -
Can I suggest that you change your custom to Waitrose if you are unhappy with the levels of service provided by Netto and the quality of their food

I always find queues whenever i go into Netto. I guess it's one of the ways they keep costs down by employing less staff.
I just accept that if i'm shopping there for whatever is on offer then i'm going to have to queue.0 -

I used to miss Morrisons, we had one when I lived in Lincoln and it was the best supermarket, we've just got one now but it seems pretty much in line with other supermarkets prices really, only it's a smaller shop so less temptation and it takes half the time to do your shopping than these horrible hyper-shops we seem to get from the likes of Tesco and Sainsbury these days.
I used to shop in Lidls once upon a time and the queues in there were horrendous, I guess it is to keep costs down which is fair enough. Same with Aldis.
Allexie - I've only been in our Waitrose once and it's just too expensive, so you're not missing nothing hun!0 -
The Netto checkout staff are quite rude yes...I occasionally go hunting for cheap bargains there and the staff just talk to each other about their night out etc...Even while serving you!
They don't even respond when you say "Thank you" :S0
