Bags and Jewellery JOB LOT

Hi All,
(This is my first post, so sorry if it is in the wrong section.)

Looking for some advice about how best to sell NEW ladies bags and fashion jewellery: There are 31 bags, 106 earrings, 19 necklaces, 12 bracelets and 8 necklace and earring sets (all mix of styles and colours).

My flat mate bought them to sell on e-bay but we were both made redundant and he gave them to me to cover his half of the rent! I am now at home and they are taking up space. I don’t have time to sell them individually on e-bay, need the space and only want to get my money back.
The stuff is good as my mum and sisters have helped themselves to bags and earrings!

So any suggestions as to where and how to sell them, without spending too much time, will be ace.

Thanks
Aman

Car boot sales spring to mind as you can easily carry them in a small car and pay a small fee to rent a space. Alternatively sell as a job lot on ebay, but you are likely to receive only a small percentage of the original cost if you do that.

  • Hi,

I have been to a Boot Sale last week to look around but there seemed to be mainly second hand stuff. I was not sure people will look for bargains on new stuff. I assumed they wanted something in particular or antiques.

I will give it ago at the boot market (if it is sunny tomorrow morning) and see what happens. Any tips in marketing it or just display it on a table and see how it goes?

    Thanks

A well displayed table, maybe even a sign saying all new and unused -but just make sure your boot sale doesn't ban traders as you'll end up with problems.

Choose your car boot well, some sales people will only pay pence for an item. If you have a receipt for them maybe a market trader would buy them from you as a job lot.

I'd say that if you have time to spend doing a car boot sale, then you have the time to eBay them, and will probably do better.
