I have been reading some information on DRO'S as I think this might be the way I have to sort my debts out. The info states that your debts must not exceed £15000 but mine do. Do you have to declare all your debts or can you just include those up to £15000 and leave the rest off?
Probably a silly question I suppose as it would seem you're giving preferential treatment to those creditors not included?

All debts must be included including the full value of any joint debts. The approved intermediary will have to credit check you first to ensure everything is included too. If you don't declare something and apply your DRO will be declined.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Agreed to the above, you need to declare them all including joint debts otherwise it will be null/void if they find out you didnt delcare them all.
In which case a DRO is not suitable for you, if you have no assets then there is bankruptcy, if you have assets (big car/house you actually own) then an IVA is possible. The other option is actually paying the debts via a DMP.
Ask CCCS/national Debtline for advice.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Thanks for the advice. I have been paying my debts on a self managed DMP up until about 2 months ago when I lost my job, my partner is also out of work so absolutely no way of paying them at the moment. I'll have to go down the token payment route for the time being but I don't think they will accept it. I also have 3 CCJ's which are up to date at the moment but don't know what to do about those as the most expensive one is £170 per month (set by the court when I offered £40, and which has actually been paid by a family member as I couldn't afford it, only 2 more payments left though) the other 2 are £30 and £40 per month. Is it possible to get the court to lower the payments after it has already been agreed?I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Court payments can be changed as they are set on your circumstances on the day of the order, i believe you need to apply to the court to ask for a redetermination, i might have the wrong word there thou.
Its better to try and get it changed than default on a CCJ, miss any CCJ payments and they can use bailiffs, and we all know bailiffs = charges = more costs.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Ok thanks. Do I contact the court - namely Northampton Bulk Centre- or the people I make the payment to? You're right I don't want to have bailiffs knocking on the door. A couple of days ago someone called round for Barclaycard:eek:, needless to say I didn't open the door but I do need to get things sorted as it's like a living nightmare, it's the first time I've known anyone to actually call round, now I'm scared to open the door to anyone unless I'm expecting someone!I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Unless they make an appointment under OFT guidelines they should not come round, if you refuse an appointment they are not allowed to visit and is classed as harassment - http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/consumer_credit/oft664.pdf
If it was handled by the Northampton bulk centre then i don't know as that means it wasn't sent to our local court and you didn't defend it, by not defending you are usually told to pay in full. I would ring them anyways and see what they say, only contact the creditor after getting some useful info of the courts.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
