PayPal Fees Not Consistent!
WoodruffsDad
I am registered as a Business Account with PayPal.
I have looked at my last 3 sales through PayPal and they have charged me 3.95%, 4.25% and 5.04% respectively.
Why these discrepancies?

Depending on your account the fees are generally 20p + x%. The x is variable depending on your account status, 3.9% down.
So as the 20p remains constant there would be a variation in total percentage depending on the selling price.
If however you're talking about selling the same priced item and getting charged different rates there's something wrong..0 -
If some were cross boarder, then the fees are slightly higher.0

Each of the 3 items I quoted were completely different and with different prices realised.0 -
Ok, assuming your percentage rate is 3.9%
if you sell something for £1, the fee is 24p (20p + 3.9p), which is 20% gross fees,
sell something for £10 and the fee is 59p (20p + 39p) which is 5.9% gross.
The percentage gross fee decreases in the size of the sale.
All the fees are in the Paypal pages..0 -
Oddly there has been instnaces where this has happened to us- not a conversion fee, or anything like that, but just a penny out from all the others of the same price. If however you're talking about selling the same priced item and getting charged different rates there's something wrong.
Could never be bothered to chase them to find out why.
I figure it's something to do with rounding.... or something.
Sorry OP to butt in.
I'm guessing your problem must be the 20p flat fee thing though. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.
