CD Burning Software (Acer Laptop)

i have an acer laptop and it came preloaded with NTI CD & DVD Burner. This software is not very good and is pretty basic so i want to install my old copy of Nero. When i put nero on it will not run properly could it be conflicting with NTI. If i uninstall NTI will i have any problems putting anyother software on?

Is there any other better software rather than Nero that i could get? I will pay anything needed to get some good software (or "acquire" it!)

Uninstall all burning software and try putting the latest nero on. Nero is really user friendly so if thats what your looking for I would recommend that one.

To uninstall the old program go to start menu >> control panel >> add/remove programs and select the program you want to remove.

To stop you from wasting money download the nero demo first and see if it works.

It is not necessary to uninstall the NTI burner, just install Nero and it will work fine!

He said it wouldnt work and he thought it might be a conflict between the software. Give it a go without uninstalling first and see if it works.

All that I can say, is that I have simply installed Nero on an Acer with NTI installed here and there were no conflicts.

How old a copy of Nero is it? Perhaps it doesn't support the drive in your laptop?

whats the best version of nero to use? is there still problems with the latest version?

Incidently i have also tried Alcohol 120% burner and that would not work either, could there be a firmware upgrade to my drive?
