Hi Everyone I hope someone can shed some light on this situation.
6 weeks ago today a disaster happened in our house. My mum had a bath and let the water go ten minutes later the water was in our dining room  so we went back upstairs to find that the shower tray was overflowing with water and excrement onto the floor and into the dining room.
We used pots and pans and every concievable bucket we had in the house to collect the water we thought it was clean water  anyway munters came out slashed the carpets and took them left dehumidifiers and a fan in the kitchen/dining room so obviously had excrement blowing around our kitchen.
They now want to swab the house 6 weeks later because they have took their time and messed us around. But 6 weeks later would there still be contamination in the house but what about the likes of ecoli still be alive or any other bugs?
Surely this should of been done 6 weeks ago!!
Surely munters has been totally negligent by putting a fan in our kitchen blowing god knows what around the kitchen.
Any help would be appreciated
Steph
p.s this isn't only my families waste it is also next doors too!!

Does this make a difference then?
I have to say this sounds like a nightmare situation. Presume you're talking about bacteria being blown around by the fan, not actual lumps of the stuff...
If it were my home I'd be insisting on it being sterilised from attic to cellar.
And are the 'munters' Environmental Health or a private firm you've employed?:A0 -

Would you want to eat next doors waste? It's bad enough being your own never mind next doors!
Well the water was coming from the ceiling with the stuff in then it's hit the fan and been blown across the kitchen.
munters are employed by the halifax to dry the property out.
We will never insure again with the Halifax as now they are only replacing the ceiling in the dining room and the bathroom floor and thats it. We have wrote a letter of complaint the the CEO so hopefully that will get us somewhere.0
