    Yes as your SOA would change as you would not have to pay any CT or not as much as on your original SOA. Totally agree with what Sizzler has said.

    Yep, you do need to tell the OR, as has been said even if you applied it to the council tax this could leave you with more surplus and the possibility of an IPA

    thanks everyone for your replies I have done the right thing and advised the OR (better to be safe than sorry). He is going to let me know next week if I have to give it up or keep it. Suppose I never had it so if it has to go so be it, but really appreciate all your help. Your all wonderful on here. Would never have got through this without you all.
