A couple of things that I am wondering - my wife is trying to get approx £2000 she has been awarded by an employment tribunal - will that need to be declared as I am the one looking at going bankrupt and will the details always appear in the local paper apart from the London Gazette?
Sorry to keep asking so many questions but this is playing on my mind and am now questioning if this is the best route even though I know there is no other way to clear my debts and start afresh.0 -
Hi Rob,
Your wifes finances are not affected by your BR unless anthing is joint in which case the responsibility for that debt falls solely to her. The sum of money that she will receive belongs to her & therefore is outside the ORs remit.
On the newspaper question..best to get a copy of the local rag & see if it is common practice. It is becoming rarer to see BR notices...too many to list I think:eek::eek:0 -
Many many thanks for that SoSadAngel - I really appreciate it0
