Just asking this question on behalf of a friend.

What is the best way to invest this amount of money. Where to invest it? how much? what are the interest rates etc....

All your help would be great, as this is a very important decision for the person involved!!

what kinda of risk are and returns are we talking about.

no risk savings account you will get 5% annually

stocks and shares/investment trust etc

10 - 20% with minimal risk

40 + with a lot of risk

Basically no risk.

What would be the best accounts to put the money in, i.e. £3,000 in isa, £20,000 in a certain bond etc etc.

Think she is looking to get the interest on the money on a yearly period
