Have a look at www.tfl.gov.uk and you can use the journey planner to check transport from Kings Cross to Slough and then to the Swimming pool. Just put in the postcodes if not using train stations.
  • I'm also stopping at Slough travel lodge for legoland and i'm travelling by train. If you book your tickets from your mainline station to Slough then the ticket will include the tube- Slough service departs Paddington. I'm going April so will be able to let you know more afterwards.
  • That will be great thanks theres a bus from slough train station to legoland 701 or 702 not sure how much £ . let me know how you get on . Have fun

What about the car parking? 200 yards down the road you can park overnight for nothing, just make sure you move your car before the time on the sign.
    Out on blue six..
It's Chips and Jackets, Peas and Trousers.
  • The travelodge has no car parking you can use the car parks near by £14 or £16 BUT only till 7.30 - 8.00 the on street seems to have same restictions as im heading for 4 nights and a bit of a hol, considering this ive opted for the train and bus etc.:)

Bus 71, 77 or 191 (may be others) will take you from Slough Town Centre to near Windsor Leisure Centre (Maidenhead Road), for swimming pool, in about 10 mins.
  • We caught the 191 on a Saturday- it came very late, driver was really apologetic- anyway you get that at the bus station but it does go on the main road back practically past the travellodge so you could get on it there. It was £6.20 for an adult day saver but on a Saturday kids travel free which i couldn't believe (helpful people at bus stop) That takes you to the staff entrance then it's quite a walk up a steep road. We waited for the shuttle at the bus stop and every one got on and didn't pay- i just followed the masses! Anyway coming back we spotted the 701 shuttle (it's a coach) and we had to pay for my daughter on that- she wasn't free on that one and that was £2 something but we was worn out by that time. The buses have got quite a wait in between them from Slough so i'd advise you to look out for the times before going to catch it. We also spent some time in Windsor on a different day opting to use the train- 2 adults, 2 kids bought at station £4 return for us all- thought that was really good- trains are really regular too.
There's a massive Tesco in Slough- you won't miss it- go and get your lunch in there to take into Legoland as it's pricey.
  • Thanks for that just the tickets to sort out now ..
