Hi All

Personnaly before you do anything i would speak to those invited and ask what THEY can afford.
Then find something to do that fits in with the general budget of everyone.
You never know the other stags might giive you some different ideas. Budget restraints might force you to change your plans or you might find that you can go bigger or further affield. If you want to.
You can book train tickets onlne in advance for a lot cheaper than on the actual day itself.
Once you have everyones maximum budget you will have a btter understanding of what you can book and how much it will cost, then when you know this you can ask fir deposits etc.
Personnaly i would spit the day up, activity during the day, meal, then a night out, this opens it up to more people, some people may come to the activity day and not the night and vice versa, some people will go to all. It covers all ages and tastes.
Dog racing, horse racing etc are good options for the calmer older bloke. Not to expensive either.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
yep , first job is finding out who will be going , who wont be , and agree a target sort of budget THEN proceed to getting stuff arranged using a small deposit from everyuong , which in turn confirms there wanting to attend0

Maybe look at booking into travelodge rooms on their cheapy deals too - there aren't too many of you, so you might be able to do something along those lines....Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??:mad:Debt Free as of September 2011 :jSealed Pot 2009 number 334 - £100 Saved! yey!!Sealed Pot 2010 number 334 - £116.51 Saved! My OH is doing a night at the dogs in Birmingham, then a day at the football in Nottingham then a night out in Nottingham. Has managed to get travelodge rooms in Birmingham for £19 per room (that sleeps 3 adults) and they are paying £30 each for a room in Nottingham Central

Dogs is costing £19 each for entry, jug of beer and 3 course dinner. Footy ticket is about £20 and mini bus is about £40 each including petrol.
Weymouth is a nice place, so would def ask around B&B's plus look at houses you can rent

My key tip is : don't try to plan too much in one day. Don't try to budget for every possible cost either
When looking for hotels, try this website: http://www.skyscanner.net/hotels/?languageCode=EN¤cyCode=GBP0 -
My stag do is in my B2B's home City of Nottingham
My Best Man has booked twin roombeds at the Ibis hotels for £25 per person
Were were going to book at the travel lodge central 3 per room until we found out thats its one double bed and a sofa bed. A lot of my friends are 6 foot plus and there is no way there going to want to share a bed!
We going to do a couple games of bowling. A chinese buffet and then clubs later on.
Hopfully we should have a good time."One Man Can Make A difference" Michael Knight KNIGHTRIDER0 -
Have you looked at the holiday inn discount page on the hotel part of this forum ? There is links to two for 1 deals and good discounts.
I agree with other OP who said a lot of places wont take stag/ hen do's .
Second dont pay any of your own money out. I have had to organise my own hen.
First I got a list of people who were interested , then I got a price. I went back to everyone( mostly did a joint text /email ) and said Im booking it on saturday and if you serious I need a deposit for then or you will have to make your own arrangments - and stick to it.
I made sure it was a cheap price and had checked out with everyone beforehand if this was ok with them.
I find a lot of people say they are coming but if they dont put money dont they change their minds. So no deposit = no commitment.
I found my true friends offered the deposit- and a lot of them the whole amount -straight away.
The people who I thought were just saying they would go then backed out - one of them asked me to pay for her ( my SIL2B ) and I said no- heck I have a wedding to pay! . I said to even just give me a tenner but as she was not really committed she hasnt bothered.0
