looking for a promotional code for a Hilton maybe or somewhere quite nice to take my pregnant wife away for a night bofore the baby is due...anyone got any codes/help etc?

Have you tried https://www.lastminute.com ? Their search function is pretty good - used them once or twice for rooms. You can specify what 'star' you want so you could only pick out 5* hotels if you wanted to

Otherwise, the saturday papers generally have lots of offers in them for the 'chain' hotels.

P.S. I should point out that I am not Steve, it's a random sig that appears to have attached itself to me!

Try https://www.laterooms.co.uk this site is so easy to use, select a region you want to go to or specifiy a particular place & enter the dates your looking for. It will give you a full listing of all hotels available in that area at hugely reduced prices. My partner, 8 year old son & myself spent a last Saturday night in Manchester for £72 per room for B&B, instead of £145. It had full leisure facilities included in the price. We always use this site as excellent value for money. Good Luck
