Lloyds TSB Security Breach?

Tried logging in to Lloyds TSB online banking earlier to be asked for my email address on the third screen which is very unusual.
Closing the browser, re-opening it, clearing the cache, etc, and trying again was asked for my email addy and the login failed.
I called the up to do what I wanted to do online, over the phone. Was told they don't have access to anyone's account at present.
Asked if there was a general problem affecting online services as well to be told yes, and also asked "did I enter my email address?" said yes.
Advised that I should change my email password if it is the same as my LTSB password and she took my details to be called back tomorrow....
Sounds like LTSB have been h4x0r3d!!
Not feeling too comfortable about the safety of my identity and data and banking atall now... Grrrrrr

No change to logon
At Lloyds TSB we’re committed to making your Internet Banking experience as safe as possible.
Please note that we have made no changes to our logon process and would never ask you to confirm personal details such as your mother’s maiden name or card details.
So if it's not familiar, don't proceed, as closed suggested, it may have been a phishing website.Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.0 -
If it had been hacked, the site would have been pulled. Are you sure you didn't go to a phishing site (how did you get there), or they messed up an update to the site?
Don't worry I'm very wise to Phishing scams!
I never ever ever browse to a site that requires login information or personal information from a link, I directly enter the URL myself all the time - as anyone should

LTSB telephone banking confirmed something was awry
Sounds a bit concerning. Make sure you update if you get a call back tomorrow, just to elaborate on the situation. Doubt it's anything major, logged in tonight with no issues whatsoever.Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong.
