Hi folks,
just a quick apology to all those who replied with the advice I asked after re the above title !! I have not reformatted my computer yet but I will let you know how I get on re the IE favourites.

The favourites is just a folder with shortcuts in. It's location depends on the operating system and the user.
e.g. in Windows 2000 and XP they are kept in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Favorites by default.
Just copy the folder to a CD or floppy (it won't be very big).Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:
