Boiler Room Scam -Advice

A relative has been the victim of boiler room scam by a company called Anderson Munro. They have contacted Operation Archway, the FSA etc and will be contacting newspapers to raise awareness to minimise the chances of others falling victim.

They don't really expect to recover the money but is there anything else they could do?

Thanks

Not much, except to beware of the classic followup. Another company is likely to call and offer to buy or exchange whatever worthless stocks the first one sold you - for an upfront fee. Beware, it's a scam too.

Might be an idea to change whatever phone number they were on as well as I'm pretty sure their details will be on a list of viable "targets" that is sold on.

Best not to take the risk of even taking the phone call?
