in Techie Stuff
I seem to have too many Internet Explorer boxes open. If I click on an item in my homepage, say BBC Sport, it opens another small Internet Explorer page (I can see BBC Sport there) but I then have to maximise, this has only just started to happen, previously when I clicked on sport it went straight into the page...hope I've explained this ok !! any ideas, I will own up to a bit of 'fiddling' the last few days I obviously don't know as much about computers as I think I do - must have done something to it .

    Hmm there is a setting somewhere to open a link in the same window. Can't find it while i'm at work though... possible Tools > internet options > advanced

    Hi I've just looked at that, but I'm sure I didn't click anything on that list
    I clicked restore defaults just incase, but it hasn't made any difference.

    Strange..

    well, download Mozilla Firefox and use that as your default browser... that should solve the problem and if not you can open links in a new tab in firefox to stop multiple windows :)

    You've restored defaults, but just make sure 'Reuse windows when launching shortcuts' on Advanced tab is ticked.
