Where to find private rentals?

We need to move by august, and have bad credit, OH is self employed and we have a dog. I want to move before we get kicked out and know this could take some time considering our situation.
Where do i find private rentals? I don't really want to go through an estate agent (Even though i work for one) because of our credit
I've looked at gumtree but there is nothing in the area i want/need to live. Any other places I can look?

this has a mix of private and agency LL - you can work out which when you click on the contact LL tab
does not have a huge selection but there's a few towns currently listed if searching on Berkshire
