Out of area/number unavailable recorded calls

Ok, I have BT Privacy, which stops withheld numbers, but I'm getting sick of the recorded message calls that show up as number unavailable/out of area. Three times I've pressed 2, spoken to the operative and asked to be removed from their system.

Tonight, the cow hung up as soon as I asked her the company name.

Is there any way to stop these calls?

No, no way to stop them in the short term.

In the longer term, you'll have to waste their time seriously, so it costs them too much to call.
