Just had an interesting experience with Talk Talk today. They have recently changed their online software and I used to be able to log in to my account and see all my phone numbers and also O2 bills.
Without telling me Talk Talk have changed their system so I have been unable to log into my account as it no longer exists. I emailed them 10 days ago asking what is going on as I had received a paper statement which I previously did not get as I use the online system. it now seems that if you have more than one phone number with Talk Talk you need a different email address for each one to log into any account so I now have re-set up my Talk Talk accounts with different email addresses for each one. Utter Madness
I also has Talk Talk "anytime" on one of my accounts as was told that 0845 and 0870 numbers are free however I have always been charged for them and was told I had to "opt in" for this service yet when you look on their website it sasy it is included. This is a complete "con" and I suggest anyone else in the same situation checks they are not getting charged. Be very wary of any offer by Talk Talk and look at the small print also.

But Talk Talk is cheap, isn't that why it's so popular?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

i recently changed to Tiscali in Dec 2009 and had nothing but trouble since day one! Since Dec ive paid them £156 (in 12 weeks) and i only used £8.53 of calls (of which £7.40 was complaints to them), i went 5 weeks in Jan/Feb with no broadband (but still got charged) and now yesterday i got took a connection fee of £29.99 taken out my bank when i was told (and have it in writing) numerous times i wouldn't get charged a connection fee. They didn't even say they'd take it out then put it back in again the following month (which apparantly is what is now gonna happen). I don't think they should be allowed to take money unauthorised. I am now overdrawn and have a VERY important bill coming out tomoro which probably wont go through now (the bill which has to be paid tomoro is for my son to be a mascot at Tottenham on his birthday in 4 weeks - he's been on the waiting list for 2 years and i can't believe all because of TalkTalk his dream birthday is going to be ruined)..........GRRRRRRRRRRRR0

Use the Direct Debit Guarantee to get your bank to refund it, that is what it is there for. If the company debiting has mistakenly debited you then the bank refunds you and you then sort it out with them.
Call your bank and say that under the Direct Debit Guarantee you want to be refunded. Appreciate that TalkTalk will not be happy and that you may need to do some explaining.0
