Hi, hope someone can help me.

I stupidly signed up with Cartel Client Review a few years ago for 3 main products @ £495 each and 3 credit cards @ £125 each.

For two years I basically heard nothing from either CCR or CCLS, then out of the blue at the end of last year I received a cheque from CCLS for £500 from one of my Credit Card providers.

They have since been chasing me for a £100 success fee, which I have yet to pay as I am still over £1000 out of pocket.

Problem I now have is that they have sent me a letter threatening to take me to Salford County Court!

What shall I do to a) avoid a CCJ b) get my £1000 back.

never avoid a CCJ, always defend against it otherwise you are admitting you owe the money.

You need to defend it, not sure on what grounds but maybe that you have already paid out £1000 and they have not completed work on a your debts. If the contract states you must pay £100 for each success you could argue why did i pay £1000 up front, once cartal finish there service (although they won't due to news story) then you'll pay up.
