Sent initial template letter off 6 weeks ago, recieved a letter today to say that after investigating they have discovered that their records relating to the sale of our card protection was incomplete and they are offering a refund of all premiums plus any interest incurred.
They go on to say that the refund figure will be processed when they recieve the signed acceptance.
I called them to say that how can I accept when I dont know how much they are offering but have been assured that every single premium paid plus interest will be refunded plus a financial uplift from the ombudsman(whats that???)
Have decided to accept, what do you think?

thats not very nice of them is it. They will need to send a letter stating the amount and a signed acceptance. I would call them and demand the figure, if they state the same again do you have it in writing that they have offered some sort of refund? if so i would then threaten to take it to FOS, if the figure is still not supplied then you will have to refer to FOSHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. It is quite normal for the FOS to do that. You have to trust them. If when the payment comes through you do not agree then you go back to the FOS.:mad:0
