(not sure if this should be on the insurance board)
I cancelled Green Flag breakdown insurance as I've never called them out and premium was a lot higher than last year. I applied for a quote online for the same type of policy and was quoted £15 cheaper.
If your GF breakdown policy is due for renewal it may be worthwhile cancelling and getting an online quote.

Agreed, same happened with mine, despite them giving me a so called " no call out " 10% discount, a quote online for a new identical cover policy was far cheaper.

This is nothing new, the same thing applies to most insurance renewal quotes. It's always the first thing I do whenever my renewal arrives. Don't forget most online quotes include various new customer discounts which your renewal doesn't.0

Also - Tesco's breakdown service is, in fact Green Flag.
Got a renewal quote from Tesco at around £33 for basic cover but went onto the Green Flag site and got exactly the same for £19.95 less £5 via Quidco.0 -

Every little bit helps ( Tesco ).:(
My basic Green flag cover was £22 last year - £20 back from Quidco, so cost me £2.
This year the same cover is £24 less £20 from Quidco so it is going to cost double, a whopping £4 for a years breakdown cover..;)0 -

My renewal quote was £57.65 for the second level of cover (basic one + homestart). £42.00 was the internet one.
How did you manage to get such a low quote?" The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

last year their renewal quote was unacceptablly high..i cancelled ..they phoned me and offered me their top cover (i think they call it recovery plus) for me and my wife (personal cover -on any car) for £75. I think their renewal quote was for around £50 for a basic cover just for myself0
