Gas Supplier Change?
Hi, currently moved house and got my 1st gas bill of £132 for 46 days use of gas.
My house is a 2 bed terrace, gas central heating, gas hob and a gas fire. Oven and shower are electric.
4 radiators in house plus 1 towel radiator.
Heating comes on 5.30am-7am in the mornings and 4pm-10pm at night, a bit less at weekend. Probably use gas hob twice week, very rarely fire.
I used 124 units for the 46 days.
I get billed 6.621 per unit or 3.05 per unit.
Is my bill excessive? Would you change supplier? Or would you turn heating off and put a coat on?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Sorry for rambling, thanks for any help

124 units is approx 3,900kWh - you have an Imperial meter.
Just under £3 a day in winter(Feb was cold) for 7+ hours a day heating, Hot water and cooking is not excessive IMO.
I suspect you will use less than the UK average of 20,500kWh a year0 -
heating is now switched down to 3-4 hours a day.
Just thought £90 a month was excessive for gas in a 2 bed terrace!!
Currently having a condensing boiler fitted to replace back boiler, hoping this will help!everybody tries to understand art, why not try to understand the song of a bird - pablo picasso0 -

Not really. Just over £20 per week in the very cold spell would be quite good, especially as you have a gos hob & fire too."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
You will find your costs will decline with the warmer weather coming0
