lloyds tsb hardship

I am trying to reclaim charges back from lloyds tsb on the basis of hardship/snowballing charges, sent the initial template letter off 2 weeks ago.
This afternoon I get a phone call from a different lloyds dept saying that they they could help me with a new loan to consolidate my overdraft and a current loan at a more reasonable rate (said no thanks), she said I was being offered this because of my hardship claim for charges and had been passed my details.
She did say that if I decided to apply for the consolidation loan it wouldnt affect my claim at all.
What do you think theyre up to? Is it just lloyds taking an oppurtunity to sell me something else or maybe they are digging about , am worried they are going to call in my overdraft:cool:
What do you think?

Sounds like they're offering you a re-shedule, don't jump into it without thinking, make sure you get all the facts about payments etc but if you're in financial hardship a loan with lower re-payments might be good for you. But make sure you know what you're signing up for, maybe get an appointment in branch so that someone can explain it all to you.

And they might remove your overdraft, they can do it without notifying you and I am assuming that you're still incurring charges. You might no longer meet their lending criteria. Have you discussed a repayment plan with them for the overdraft and current loan?

No we are no longer incurring charges on the account but it is still in overdraft. We will not be consolidating, it has never worked for us before. I've got a feeling that there is a letter on it's way to us to say we are not getting the charges back and they passed it onto the lady who rang today to see if they could refinance the overdraft?
The charges where incurred when the account went overdrawn by 33 pence and I didn't realise and struggled for ages to get the account back under the overdraft limit.
