Hi, I just realised haven't posted my mealplan for weeks(!)
Monday - mince and mash
Tuesday - gammon steak, egg and chips
Wednesday - chicken pie, mash and vegetables
Thursday - roast
Friday - chilli and rice
Saturday - out
Sunday - chicken casserole and vegetables"We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough
"There is a special place in hell for women who don't help other women" - Madeleine Albright0 -
Our menu list goes as follows :
Sunday : Roast Chicken (just put it in the oven), roast potatoes & parsnips (done in Polenta for extra crispiness), roast carrots, roast red pepper, peas & stuffing with gravy.
Monday : Chicken & Mushroom in white sauce, with carrots, green beans & mashed potatoes.
Tuesday : Bacon & Leek Pasta.
Wednesday : Mummy's Mince Thing (which is mince in gravy, done in the oven, with a topping of diced potatoes mixed with tomato ketchup & mayonnaise. Sounds disgusting, but is actually delicious!), with broccoli & carrots.
Thursday : Pasta bolognese & garlic bread.
Friday : Prawn curry & rice.
Saturday : Pasta arrabiata.
Sunday : Sausage Casserole (with loads of root veg & beans) & mashed potatoes.
Monday : Chilli con carne & rice.
Our "week" goes from a Tuesday to Monday, which is why I'm planned so far ahead!
Ordinarily, our menu is a bit more varied than that, but we've got to watch what we're spending for a week so as to make the rent payment. Currently, it looks as though we'll have 85p left once the rent goes out. *gulp* I get paid two days later, so fingers crossed!:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
Ok here are my ideas, all homemade unless stated otherwise:
Sunday: chili and pasta, mushroom soup, roast chicken and vegetables
Monday: chicken and red pepper roll, chicken curry
Tuesday: chicken and coleslaw roll, tarragon chicken crepes
Wednesday: free food at conference, being taken out at night
Thursday: canteen lunch, pasta with tomato and peppers sauce
Friday:canteen lunch, dhal, chutney and rice
breakfast: cereal,toast
snacks: banana bread
I know I have two canteen meals but by end of the meal need hot lunch and at £1.76 it isn't too bad. Will make some chicken soup with the last of the chicken.MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000

Hi all  Nice to read everyone's meal plans - lots of ideas on there to try!
Week before payday here for me so strict meal planning is in order!
- Quiche from the farmers market with salad
- Jacket potatoes and quorn chilli
- something with chicken and bacon... carrots and potatoes with a honey and mustard sauce. (Didn't bother with the bacon.)
- [STRIKE]Salmon stir fry with noodles[/STRIKE] The other quiche with salad
- eating out twice this week!
Lunches are either going to be leftovers or toast and something. And breakfast is always cereal.
Catch up later in the week!0 -

We've been away, so I am a bit scattered this week, but my rough plan so far is:
Tonight - pork chops (from Farmer's market on Sat), boiled potatoes and savoy cabbage (HG)
Tomorrow: fresh pasta (from supermarket last week) with wild garlic pesto (from Farmer's market)
Wednesday: Roast lamb dinner (joint unused from St Patrick's Day - has to be used by Fri)
Thursday: grilled fish (DH out for work so using up some freezer bits)
Friday: Leftover lamb as a curry or reheated in gravy with fresh spuds
Saturday: I am determined to get to the fishmonger Sat morn, so whatever is good
Sunday - some kind of roast that looks good when shopping
I have all of the bits for this menu at home already, so no need for a supermarket shop this week after all. Just a quick dash for bread and some fruit tonight, and some milk on maybe Thursday, should see us through. Yay!!GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897
