My fridge freezer has stopped working and everything has defrosted it was bought 23/11/2008 and installed 08/12/2008, I have contacted Beko direct and the retailer who both say there is nothing they can do as it's out of warranty. Is this acceptable as the unit is just over 15 months old.
After investiagition it would appear the pump/compressor has failed

Well the manufacturer doesn't have to do anything as they correctly state it's out of warranty, but you do have rights under the Sale of Goods Act to get the retailer to provide some remedy, either a repair, replacement or partial refund.0
