    Oh and wouldn't worry about taking it over a longer term so long as you can overpay. It just means to are 'committed' to less.. (eddited to add): committed to less each month I mean, so the lender is less twitchy.. :)
  • Well we were hoping the fees would be less than that, I must admit! However having looked on here, people have advised others to budget 5k for fees, so that's what we've set aside. Circumstances may be different in other people's cases though, so maybe we have put aside far too much! We are living with my in-laws to be and the house we like is round the corner. We could walk our possessions round to the new house if we went for it!!

    If you were selling too and had to pay estate agents fees and larger solicitors fees then maybe so, oh and if you had stamp duty fees... :)
