The cira 3% of declined critical illness claims due to not meeting the definition is also a minority isn't it Pedro
That 3% you refer to Oshay accounts for 3/10 claimants, by my reckoning that's 30% in real terms, based on 10% claims, and that ain't good is it
Campaigning to recycle Insurance Policies into Toilet Paper :rotfl:

Consumer research has found that 8 out of 10 people would happily defraud insurance companies. Those 'greedy customers' you refer too, are in the minority just like criminals in general are in the minority
Anyone that thinks consumers are angels and companies are the devil clearly isnt thinking straight. That 3% you refer to Oshay accounts for 3/10 claimants, by my reckoning that's 30% in real terms, based on 10% claims, and that ain't good is it

I would honestly say that claimants are worst IMO.
There are criminal gangs set up with the express intention of defrauding insurance companies.
Insurance companies are not perfect but they are all regulated etc. and have to operate under UK company law.
I don't have any facts at all to back that up, I'm just pointing out that one party has to operate as a business with all the relevant laws and regulations and the other party does not.0 -

Come on then lets have the link to your so called customer research.
A claims rate of 10% indicates, that 10 out of 100 ppl claim..ok.
And of theses 10 ppl, as Oshay states 3% are declined for not meeting the IC definition (no real surprises there, they are avoid payment definitions).
So 3 out of 10 are declined, so that's 30%.

PPI has nothing to do with critical illness cover so the 10% is totally irrelevant. you might as well compare the payout stats on llama insurance!
In any case, still wouldn't change the statistic as it is the percentage of claims not policies.0 -
...or look at it another way... circa 93% are paid out, if we use your definition that means that 93% of policyholders have had a claim paid.0

Looks like I've been missing all the fun - sorry I'm late

Pedro: this could be your opportunity to speak to your heroine Antonia Senior! If so, please could you refer her to us for a little journalistic balance. After that last article of hers that you posted, I'd say she's definitely in need of some.0
