I've registered but unless it's changed in order to get contact details for new listings you have to be a paid member, I'm not too sure how many buyers would pay to read ads online, when there are a lot of free sites.

not quite right hermum - on preloved, you have to be a paid member in order to get an adverts contact details straight away. If you wait a fortnight (i think it is) then you can get the details for free. On the other hand, it's free to list.

Plus membership for a year is only £ 5-00 so not too bad (unless you went for the higher option of i think its featured adverts or business adverts at £ 20-00 for a year)

Are there many ads for your area? When I listed I got no response at all, so I don't know whether it was because nobody wanted what I had, or not locally, or if there was nobody close enough who had paid to get my details in the first couple of weeks. Listed on Gumtree & Freeads & sold in a couple of days.

i guess i'm quite lucky cos there are quite a few people in my area

i joined it to buy some virginia andrews books from someone, they were perfect and excellent condition when i got them, took about a month though

we got loony boy cat from there as well, i asked about him and recognised the email address as being local as it was someone on the local freeshare group, she's moved now though

I'm quite surprised there are many sales or good prices if you have to pay or wait 2 weeks to get the sellers details!
