Need to buy 2 or 3 new systems comprising at least Core 2 Duo chip (some compatibility problems with Home server otherwise we are told?),
at least a speed of 2.1 GHtz,
at least 3 Gb RAM.
Hard drive size not that important as everything is backed up to 2 servers.
At least 22" monitors and preferably 24".
Needed like yesterday! So need to be able to get them by tomorrow or Monday latest.
We are in the Midlands, if that makes a difference.
Anyone know of any good deals please?
And anyone any info on the new i3,i5 and i7 chips?
Also anyone with knowledge/experience of the new all in ones?
Many thanks.:o

i would go with a i chip if you can due to the fact core2 are now obsoleate with no upgrade path (also the core i processors tend to be faster clock for clock than the core 2)
if you need them that quickly you might be looking at the bigger retailers, you could check out CCL in bradford or Microdirect in ManchesterDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -

Thanks for that.
We are nearer Coventry so hoping for something a bit nearer?0 -
Many traders like MicroDirect & CCL used to trade at computer fairs, like the one that's held near you weekly (every Saturday, from memory) at the National Motorcycle Museum (off the NEC roundabout), don;t know if they still do but there would almost certainly be similar companies trading there.flossy_splodge wrote: »Thanks for that.

Thats quite a "loose" specification...
For under £300 per pc:
Dual Core 2.6Ghz
3 Gb Ram
320Gb HDD
Nvidia Graphics 1Gb
But for a better spec at about £550 each:
Quad Core I7 860 2.8Ghz
4Gb DDR3 Ram
500 Gb HDD
512Mb ATI graphics
Sorry, havnt looked at screens yet0 -

Novatech, they do next day delivery for about £20
and you can get a hell of a specification for really cheap
EDIT - Seems Novatech are always gonna be on the high side
Go ebuyer.com as suggested, they offer some great packages
