I am having problems with my sign on screen. The screen names bit keeps blanking and I cannot sign on as there are no screennames to sign on with, or an existing member name. It's just blank and I cannot sign on.
I can use AOL Dialler but I cannot get into the main AOL screen, and whilst this is not a problem for me, my flatmate gets very moody if she can not get onto her aol screen and get her e-mails the easy way.
Does any AOL user know a way of getting the screennames back o0n the sign in page?
Thanks

Try the following:
click start, then programs, then find AOL in the list. Then click AOL system information.A box should pop up.Click the utilities tab and then select rebuild AOL adapter. Then click the quick restore tab, then click proceed, once this has been done you should get your sign in box back.0 -
For this and all other problems, give AOL a call..... I know their normal number starts 0870, but you can also call them on 01179 191100, which is obviously much cheaper (costs me 5p for u to 1 hour).
Hope that helps0 -
mr_fishey - thanks, tried it, but looks like problem is bigger. I can't be bothered with re-in stalling everyday so flatmate will have to do with outlook express
herman - cheaper than 0870 is always good. Didn't know they had another number0 -
you can also try this free number and speak with them as much as you want
0800 279 67710 -
Thanks edi7on. Free is even better
I re-installed in the end. Only a 10 minute job, but you can bet it will need to be done again tomorrow0
