I ma doing a bike ride from London to Paris and would like to follow a route on the web.
It's:
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2786695
Rather than print out dozens of A4 pages and have to stop all the time to map read I wondered if there is a way of downloading them to my TomTom using some software?
Anyone know please?

The page you linked to has a link to an option to export the route as GPX and a quick google finds a GPX to OV2 converter which TomTom will recognise. The bad news is that the export program looks to be very homebrew and only supports 10 way points and there are suggestions that the GPX to OV2 doesn't work.
The next bit of good news is that you can plan a cycle route on a TomTom (at least you can on mine) so unless there is some real need to follow what appears to be a pretty standard route planner route rather than one taking you past places of special interest then I'd suggest you just use the TomTom on it's own.
I hope you can pedal fast though - my TomTom only runs for about an hour when on its internal battery.0 -
Hi, thanks for that. I'd found the export and you are right it seems very home made.
I tried exporting with the gpx converter listed and half the points are off the coast of Gambia!0 -
