Flght and car Hire Leeds to Lisbon

EDIT: Oops meant to post in beat my quote thread. Any chance of getting the post moved please?

We are looking to stay at a friends villa near Peniche in Portugal from the 24th or 25th of August to the 3rd or 4th September.

There is no direct flight from LBA so to Lisbon so the cheapest flight I have found is via Brussels and is approximately £1200.

The other option is LBA to Faro and then drive (roughly 3 hours) to Peniche.

The best price for this I have found is approx £670 with Jet2 and then car hire for £217.00. We would probably need a car even if we fly into Lisbon airport, so I am thinking this may be the best option.

To sum up

Travellers: 2 adults and 2 children (both 11)

Dates: 24th or 25th August til 3rd, 4th or possibly 5th September (which ever flights are cheapest)

Flights: LBA to Lisbon or Faro (final destination Peniche)

Car Hire: Yes

BMI Baby Manchester to Lisbon direct.

    Get booking; flights still cheap.

If you're driving to Manchester park at FSS.

Car Hire through Holiday Autos. If they put you with Europcar sign up for Europcar's express card, so that you can bypass the queues. Take it from a local, it works!! ;)

Thanks for that. It is looking like it will be around £680 to fly from Manachester. Flight out is a bit early so don't think we will persuade anyone to give us a lift, so I will have to allow for the cost of travel to Manchester if we go for this option. Certainly less hassle than driving from Faro though or flying vias Brussels :D

  • Manchester is a great option and not really alot of extra expense is it? Obviously the parking is cost but flight costs are cheaper, times are less, it is a direct flight and you get to be where you want instead of 3 hours away! Plus a family member or friend gets to stay in bed-so a bonus!!!

It is great if your travel plans fit in with your local airport but it rarely does!! Jetparks are great at Manchester airport and offer good deals.
