A dongle would be the best option for temporary Internet access. O2 are currently offering a cut price dongle for just £10 at the moment, so even if you were going to get limited use out of it, you can't argue with a tenner!

...you have to buy the dongle first :D which are about £25-30 and then you have to buy your credit at roughly £15 taking it to around £40 at a minimum....

The current online offer from Voda dongle is £25 including £15 of credit for first month/3GB.

  • I've been onto Vodafone's wesite and the best offer I can see is a dongle with 3GB data to start you off and then future top ups are 3GB. You need to put the www in front:

dongle from 3, 30 day rolling contract, £10 for the dongle, £15/month for 5Gb allowance. just cancel (30 days notice) after the 1st 30 days. total cost £40 for 10Gb over 2 months + the dongle is yours to keep.

Was in Carphone Warehouse on Thursday and the assistant said he had a PAYG dongle with the first month free at the moment. Didn't get as far as asking which company it was.

Why oh why do people open up old threads to duplicate advice already given?

The original thread was started on 18 March and the poster said...
I need to move away for a couple of weeks in the next few days

He'll have gone away and been back weeks already so all these posts made in May are a waste of time and effort.

People see the thread title and are looking for similar advice... so the thread becomes advice for more people with a similar question.

'tis often the way that forums work, unless there's a moderator to close threads.
