Ok.. here's the deal. I have a phone (well duurr) and i take a lot of pictures on my phone (sharp 903)
Anyway, I have a pc and a laptop. I like to have the pics i take with my phone on both the laptop and pc thus copying and pasting across network or whatever..
However now that i have over 200 pictures its getting confusing on what pc has the latest photo's, and also when i rename pictures its not the same on the other comp and i'm just completely losing track.
I have ALL the pictures still on the phone so can delete and start again.
Now whats the best way do you think of organising it so that both the pc and laptop are always up to date. Is there a program like picasa which will sync with a networked pc and copy any new photo's across in the same album etc etc..
Its a bit of a long shot but hey.. I dont want to have to pay for flickr and large storage.

I try to avoid sync software, cos they go wrong sometimes, Once you've seen someone else lose all their files and emails (or duplicate them) as a result of naff sync software, you tend to avoid it yourself, even though it works 99.99% of the time. So don't let my experiences put you off.

I personally use xcopy to copy missing files, and something I wrote to identify and delete the extra bits. You can use robocopy to achieve a similar effect, but I prefer the manual approach.
There are some screenshots and tutorials (whitepaper) here:

Well after syncing i'll prob backup to a rw cd anyway just for storage!
its a good way to keep it all up to date all the time. If i ever update the pics on my laptop then turn my pc on it'll sync and vice versa so quite good! may even buy another datacable, one for lappy one for pc!!! should be good[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
