Hi,
Im thinking of buying an Xbox 360 to replace my old Xbox.
If anyone owns one can you give me some feed back on them?
are they worth the price?
I think Toys R Us do the best packages at the mo, anyone reccomend anyone better?
Sorry about the questions, thanks in advance

Best thing I ever bought, but you need to play on live to get the full benefits of it tbh. Not sure about best deals though.0

until the playsation 3 comes out that is
xbox360 games are a bit pricey but shoud come down as soon as sony release their system
be prepared it is bloody noisy as well
other than that games look fantastic the sound is great
good system but dont buy the core go for the premium one
works out a bit cheaper in the long run0 -

They have a tendancy to 'lock up' and cease to function around the 6 month marks seemingly. Here for more: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=49622
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -

Yeah I think that's a small percentage of users, and even then with one of the earlier units. I think you'd be unlucky to get a faulty unit, and if you do just return it and get a fresh one.
I've had mine since January, and only had one lock up.
For me:
Pros:
- Excellent graphics.
- Very complete, overall package.
- Wireless controllers, I've always like MS's controllers, and their wireless controller is brilliant. Well built, comfortable, robust.
- Xbox Live, best online package about.
- Looks good, nice and small too.
Cons:
- Still not a huge selection of decent games.
- Can be noisy, depends what DVD-ROM drive you get. Some are noiser than others. I think I've got a Toshiba.
- Wireless adapter is quite expensive at around £60.
For games, Elder Scrolls - Oblivion is incredible, probably the best game on the 360 at the moment in my opinion. It offers huge value for money too, one of the best games I've played in a long time.
Other good games are Project Gotham 3, Ghost Recon AW, Burnout Revenge, Call Of Duty 2, Rockstar Table Tennis (cheap, frantic action, good laugh with a few mates). Apart from those you'll be hard pushed to find many other exceptional titles."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
someone just posted that Asda may be doing a 20% off consoles deal this weekend only. Linked to a newspaper voucher deal.
So if your buying soon, perhaps keep eyes peeled on this forum?0
