Frugal, as long as you keep adding miles the account stays open. Also I've just booked a flight to San Francisco to see my daughter and only used part miles, so that may be an option for your family. It's costing me £170.00 return and between 4 and 5 thousand miles rather than the usual £800.00. I believe you can also put them toward brochure holidays. Happy times.0

I've not called to clear it up yet, but my transfer placed on March 20th did not accrue double miles despite being my first transfer. I hope it's not a case of the miles having to clear before the deadline rather than the order being placed before it!0

I think you have to be a member of BA Executive Club to have a BA Miles account. Used to be you had to have taken a fully flexible priced flight before qualifying though it might have changed.
This isn't a requirement any more (stopped about 3yrs ago) - anyone can join.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

Can take several weeks. The 'double' bit is done manually and they seem to do them in batches.
BA staff (AirMiles is run by BA as well) are a bit busy on other stuff right now, so I would expect there to be a delay in them breing added at the moment.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

As the Clubcard vouchers are valid for 2 years, I would put them away somewhere safe and change them when you have enough for what you want.
That way, if a better Deal comes along, you've stil got them to convert to whatever you want, rather than being stuck with some Airmiles you can't use.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
