My Natwest Debit card can be activated online, By Post or by Text, but my wife has applied online today and been accepted for a Natwest credit card but does anyone know if the Natwest Credit card can be activated in this way or must you phone up to activate it, I only ask as my wife is not very good on the phone and would prefer other ways of activating it such as the above.

Every card I've had recently has been phone only. Surely your wife can manage a 2 minute activation call?0

most are phone only so they can try and flog you card cover and id protection etc.... they know a lot of people dont like to say no (especially the British!)0

I love saying no!
In fact when Vanquis called last summer to say I'd been approved, trying to sell me PPI, some other cover, cash advance, this, that, whatever, I interrupted him and siad "If you try to sell me one more thing I will terminate this call and call back to close the account"Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Funnily enough I activated my Natwest Credit Card only today. It can only be done by phone call. You need to put your card number into an automated system and then you're put through to a person.
They will try and sell you ID theft protection and insurance but just say 'no thank you' and they drop it immediately and will not try and pressure you.
They then ask if there's anything else they can help with and that's that.

Ryan101, you sound like a very honest person. I would just be tempted to put on a high voice and pretend to be my wife in a similar situation. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
