Oh guys, I'm now really worried. I contacted cccs the other day and have my appointment in a few weeks. Is this whats gonna happen?

I honestly don't think I could take all the letters and phonecalls etc...

I know everyone raves about cccs, please put my mind at ease

We do our best but we're not miracle workers! Things will settle down when you start your DMP but its not a instant process. Any thing at all that worries you, call CCCS. There's no such thing as a stupid question.

Thanks macduff, you do a marvellous job....

I'm just concerned about the phonecalls etc as I'm doing this and my o/h doesn't know.

You can ask creditors not to contact you by phone, or just to call on a mobile number if they really must call. they shouldn't tell a 3rd party what the call is about (although some of them do forget this) and we certainly do not tell anybody but the client where we are calling from. We always say 'the Leeds office' when we are calling or leaving messages.

Again thanks Macduff. I've arranged for them to phone my landline number when I know my O/H will be at work.

I'll probably tell him at some point but right now is not a good time. Gawd I feel the tears welling up as I type this..........what a mess.........

    Cheers!

  • Hi Little L

Been getting the phone calls over the last few days, yesterday I had enough, when I spoke to them I quoted this from another thread :

Tell him that if they continue to call you with such frequency, even through an automated system, once you have informed them of the latest, that each and every call centre rep when they call is implicating him/herself under the Administration of Justice Act 1970 - look it up and find the part in Section 40 that refers to people 'working in concert'. This basically means that even though they are acting on behalf of the company, they are still liable for criminal prosecution as individuals. It's amazing how quickly they take you off the auto-ringer, especially when they check the case notes on their screen and see that you have recently updated them.

Rang BT so I could block the number (its free for the first month) :

    0800 666 700

    emailled the Financial Ombudsman :

    complaint.info@financial-ombudsman.org.uk

Entered the Phone Number on this site :

    http://www.ukdatait.co.uk/cgi-bin/sgAddNumber.cgi

and rang the banks Customer Complaints number (who weren't very helpful).

One way or another, I haven't had a call since 20:10 yesterday.

Obviously, I don't know which one worked if any, might just be coincidence, will have to see

Ok, thanks for that. Here's hoping you don't get anymore calls. Good luck!
